Xemerius is the ghost of a gargoyle demon that Gwyneth Shepherd encountered and befriended with. Gwyneth first encountered Xemerius when she and Gideon de Villiers were in the church making out. Gwyneth pretends to ignore him so she doesn't expose her ghost-seeing ability to Gideon. Xemerius then goes on to befriend Gwyneth and accompany her for many of her journeys.
